Ringing in the New Year with Love
Cassondra was an Assistant State’s Attorney and John was a Public Defender sitting on opposite sides of the aisle in the courtroom. After numerous dockets shared together, John couldn’t resist Cassondra’s magnetic, confident yet friendly demeanor in the courtroom. At the news that Cassondra was reassigned to another courthouse, John made the bold move to slip her a note in the courtroom asking her out. It wasn’t long before Cassondra e-mailed John with the subject line “so now we’re passing notes in court?” The rest is history.
Baltimore became the ideal wedding location as they both live in downtown and found it easily accessible for their loved ones to travel to and New Years Even seemed like the perfect time to celebrate. While they initially didn’t think they were “hotel reception people,” they were drawn to the amenities, organization structure, well-trained staff, and one-stop shopping experience that the Hotel Monaco offered them. As John put it: “Having everyone on the same page really helped us have a stress-free, affordable, and really enjoyable wedding planning experience.” The couple wed at a Catholic church, but hosted their guests, their wedding reception, after-party, and next-day brunch all at Hotel Monaco.
