Indulge in a Great Adventure at Hotel Monaco Baltimore

Our Baltimore hotel is conveniently located in the heart of downtown with easy access to the nearby convention center and the Inner Harbor shopping and entertainment destinations. With luxury in a top travel destination like ours, it comes as no surprise that people talk about Hotel Monaco Baltimore. Find out what's being said about our Baltimore hotel.

Named one of Conde Nast Traveler's 2011 Readers' Choice Awards "Best Hotels in the World." Conde Nast Traveler, 2011

Think of it as the Anti-Howard Johnsons. The Monaco, with its attached restaurant, the B&O American Brasserie, makes an ideal cold-weather escape because we never need to venture outdoors to feel like we're on vacation. Maryland Life Magazine, 2011

Elements of the original design are still there including Tiffany stained glass windows. Rooms come with fully stocked mini bars terrycloth robes, and "companion goldfish" in case you get lonely. (Alternatively household pets are also welcome here.) Richmond Magazine, 2011

My feelings about the city [Baltimore] will certainly be forever altered by the friendly staff and low-key elegance of the Hotel Monaco, which is located a quick half-mile from the Inner Harbor Mother of All Trips, 2011

When stars and musicians come to Baltimore, they tend to stay here, in a hotel that attempts to balance "cool" with "convenient." There are the period charms of the building, built in the early 1900s as headquarters for the Baltimore & Ohio Railroad, fun touches like the afternoon wine hours in the lobby and the Italian bed linens. But Hotel Monaco is also famously friendly to both children and four-legged friends. The Baltimore Sun, 2011

"Usually, when you go on vacation, your hotel is the place you stay while you are visiting another destination. The Hotel Monaco in Baltimore *is* a destination. This is your chance to live the high life like a 1920's Rail Barron. Inside the capacious lobby are two magnificent marble staircases winding up to the second floor. If you have ever wanted to be impressed with a bunch of steps, then this is a must see. I even walked down the stairs once, because if I was a wealthy 1920's Rail Barron, I would take the stairs occasionally, so I could look out over all the little people in my lobby. I would also check my pocket-watch while doing so to make sure my trains were running on schedule, but I don't have a pocket-watch. I checked my I-phone. Hmmm... I don't have a train." February 2, 2011 Yelp Review

"We head back up to our room—a visit to the hotel's glam lobby, with its uber-chic furnishings and double-sided fireplace, can wait until later—where we marvel at the fact that there's just so much to, well, marvel at. As if the fabulous views aren't enough, the room itself is awesome without being ostentatious. From the buttery leather wall covering in the oh-so-lovely bathroom to the patterned damask Roman shades keeping the moonlight at bay, the eclectic flourishes make the place feel truly special. And tucked inside it, so do we." Maryland Life Magazine, 2011
